Campbells all weather, external pipeline identification tapes are produced from high specification polyester substrate and laminate to give long-term resistance to all chemical conditions and hostile environments. They demonstrate excellent ultra-violet resistance which preserves the colour fastness of the inks which themselves have a very high UV tolerance. Our all-weather pipeline identification tapes also have an extremely low chloride content which makes them suitable for use on all pipe surfaces, including stainless steel. Stock widths are usually 50mm, 100mm or 150mm with a length of 23m.
• Adhesive bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including, Metals, High surface energy and Low surface energy plastics.
• Ideal for applications requiring high initial tack, especially on Low surface energy plastics.
• High abrasion & chemical resistance.
Temperature Range: -40°C to +150°C
Leachable chloride less than 10 parts per million.
Excellent water and UV resistance.
• 23 Micron Transparent Polyester Laminate with Thermostable Polymer Adhesive (Excellent UV protection)
• 51 Micron Gloss White Polyester Carrier
• 20 Microns of Acrylic Adhesive (High Tack)
• 81 Micron Release Liner (Densified Kraft)

The properties defined are based on four-hour immersions at room temperature 22C unless otherwise noted. Samples were applied to stainless steel panels 24 hours prior to immersion and were evaluated one hour after removal from the solution for peel adhesion. Adhesion measured at 90 peel angle (FTM 2) at 305 mm/min.

For maximum bond strength, the surface should be clean and dry. Typical cleaning solvents are Heptane and Isopropyl Alcohol.
NOTE: When using solvents, read and follow the manufacturer’s precautions and directions for use For best bonding conditions, application surface should be at room temperature or higher. Low temperature surfaces, below 5C can cause the adhesive to become so firm that it will not develop maximum contact with the substrate. Higher initial bonds can be achieved through increased rubdown pressure.
Tape performance is guaranteed for the first 6 months. Product must be stored at ambient temperature (Between 18c-23c), in its original box and in a dry atmosphere away from direct sunlight. For product traceability, please advise the batch identification number printed on the box. For optimum performance stock should be rotated and used within 12 months. The tapes have adhesive that are pressure sensitive so must be properly applied to ensure the best performance. Physical and performance characteristics shown above are obtained following tests recommended by AFERA and PSTC. The values given are typical values and do not constitute a specification. The user should determine whether the tape is suitable for the intended application. Materials do not contain any intentionally added halides, or deleterious materials to steel, but may have trace elements (Up to 200 parts per million).
Need even more protection? Our Clear PE Protective Tape can be used over the top of any of our Pipe ID Tapes to provide unbeatable lasting protection.
Remember; we can print any design and meet any specification.
